Philly thought it had come back to beat the Marlins in the ninth inning on a bases-loaded single by Hyun-Soo Kim. Replay review took the “winning” run off the board.

That led to an amusing scene: Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon and Phillies personnel plucking celebratory gum packets off the infield dirt.

The Phils couldn’t score after play resumed, and so the game dragged into a 15th inning (thanks to the ridiculous Rhys Hoskins’ tying homer in the 10th, his second dinger of the night).

Nick Williams finally settled matters with an RBI double, and the dogpile reconvened.

Side note: When did it become acceptable to assault a teammate for winning a ballgame? Asking for a friend (and probably a lot of other folks).
