Will Zalatoris, who has never won a PGA event, leads after 36 holes at 9 under par. He is followed closely by Mito Pereira, who is making his first appearance in the PGA Championship. Pereira is one stroke back at 8 under. Those two comprise the final pairing for Saturday’s Round 3.

There were a few surprises en route to the third round. Scottie Scheffler and Dustin Johnson failed to make the cut, while Tiger Woods, who struggled late in his first round at Southern Hills Country Club, bounced back on the back nine of his second round to finish 3 over for 36 holes and a stroke within the cut line.
