Thanks to a hilarious SNL sketch that aired on April 2, Davidson, alongside Chris Redd, musical guest Gunna, and actor Simon Rex, has inspired a whole new Netflix movie category, titled Short-Ass Movies.

Yes, the category was named after the song Davidson rapped in the musical sketch about some movies being far too long and his preference for short movies that are “at most, an hour 40 [mins].”

Some of Davidson, Gunna, Rex and Redd’s other hilarious lyrics included:

“Cause I’m a simple man with no attention span. ““Three hours, 47 minutes? Bro, you must be crazy. No thanks, Imma watch a short-ass movie like Driving Miss Daisy. ““Found a flick, about to pick it but right before I click it, I look downright below the line and that’s when I see the run time. ““Give me that short-ass movie like Bambi got to be tiny but good like shrimp scampi. "

Davidson also gave a shout out to some of his favorite “short-ass movies” including Good Time starring Robert Pattinson and Benny Safdie which is just 1 hour 41 minutes long, Disney’s 1994 epic The Lion King which is 1 hour 29 minutes, and the comedy Bad Moms at 1 hour 40 minutes.

Other films that got a shout out included all three Austin Power movies, Liar Liar Liar, Evil Dead, Bambi, Encino Man and the Ernest movie series.

Davidson even makes a special mention of the three-minute short films that often appear at the start of Pixar movies.

Announcing the new category, Netflix’s official comedy account, Netflix Is A Joke, retweeted SNL’s post of the sketch, writing in response: “good idea,” alongside a link to the new category.
