Buttigieg raised eyebrows by claiming victory on Monday night, before results were announced. The Democratic primary race was thrown into chaos by long delays in reporting the caucus results. The final outcome was still unknown as of Tuesday night, although officials did release partial results. With 62 percent of the vote counted, Buttigieg was leading the race, tying with Senator Bernie Sanders in pledged delegates. “Results are in from a majority of precincts and they show our campaign in first place,” Buttigieg told supporters after the partial results were announced....

A Change.org petition created by Stephanie Bonin, a Denver restaurant owner, has received 1,180,506 signatures as of Friday morning. The petition calls on Congress to pass legislation that allocates monthly payments of $2,000 for adults and $1,000 for children throughout the duration of the crisis. “Otherwise, laid-off workers, furloughed workers, the self-employed, and workers dealing with reduced hours will struggle to pay their rent or put food on the table,” the petition, which started about two months ago, said....

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki announced Monday that ASL interpreters would be a part of the administration’s daily news briefings. Psaki introduced by her first name. According to analysis published Tuesday by Time Magazine, Mewshaw was an administrator for a group of ASL interpreters that provided translations for some videos that espoused right-wing ideals.
